Celebritytattoos….A tattoo site is a tattoo site is a tattoo site. That is what this blog seems to imply. Where is the attitude that a person, especially a celebrity wearing a tattoo flaunts? That is my only grouse. Other than that as a site does a pretty decent job providing detailed information along with pictures, about the tattoos worn by celebrities.

The design and layout are pretty straight forward and to the point. Again there is none of that screaming attitude that a visitor would love to see. Visitors would have preferred tattoo motifs to have embellished the site. There is not really much chat on the origin, genesis, and development of tattoos all over the world, as also no explanation about as to how celebrity came to be identified with tattoos.

There is nothing on how society views tattoo. As a sign of rebellion, attitude or simply as kids and adults gone wrong. This is a blog which gives out information. You get to know which celebrity wears which type of tattoo, and that’s about all. While there is no denying the fact that it is a treasure trove of facts on the tattoos worn by celebrities; one feels that this information could have been presented in a manner that is explosive. Tattoos denote rebellion! Give us Jim Morrison and not tame reporting.

Tattoo aficionados would find plenty of information, but very little explanation. That apart I would prefer the home page to define the character of the blog. I do not think it does that. Tattoos are such a visual medium of communication. That should come across the moment you enter the site. The picture quality could have been better. After we need to show case two stars over here. The tattoo and the star (pun unintended). More power to the tattoo.

Well what can one say! It works very well on one level. The color pink is in perfect sync with breezy salacious nature of the blog Trent. But I would have preferred the undertone to be more risqué than what to my mind borders on sleaze. I mean it is fine to have links to exciting pictures, but there is a bit of an over dependence on these. I would prefer more bite in the comments.

I mean I like the gritty style and the raw in –your- face appeal of the layout, but it could do with a bit more soul. Even when dishing out gossip, a dash of humor and philosophy impart a bit of a depth to the blog. For instance while discussing the travails of Hulk Hogan and his hapless son, there could be an attempt at empathy even through one’s castigation of the Hogans’ attitude. To further buttress my point, I immediately connected with the part where the author is nostalgic about her blog. That showed feelings.

I have no complaints with the black and pink combination. The blog creates a bit of atmosphere in fact. It is very psychedelic, punk, irreverent and all that – would like the empty black spaces filled up a little though. The blog’s layout can appear a little fuller.
I would work on content a little. The gossip sounds like well, routine done to death gossip. Need insight, fresh interpretation here. Whoever be the reader, he or she will appreciate that. Overall the blog conveys what it set out to – a zany humorous and fun take on daily life and the cultural icons as perceived by the author. It definitely has a style of its own, which I feel needs to evolve from salacious to risqué and a little less edgy. With time it will acquire greater depth and soul.
